Hello,
I can find any solution for my problem so I try here.
My Norton Internet Security version is: 21.4.0.13 and operating system is: Windows 8.1 64bit
My problem:
I was away for 3 weeks, so when I came back I restarted my PC and as usual, I want to “Fix now” my computer since the updates have not been made and neither analyzes all this time.
I realized that before performing the “Fix now” task, the live update has been updated since few minutes. When I press “Fix now”, I get the message “Fix not complete”.
So I use the solution found on the Norton forum: to right-click the Norton logo in the task menu in the lower right of the screen, and click “Scan now” and then nothing happen.
Thank you for your help.
Mark
Hi Mark,
we have 2 solutions:
You can restart your computer to make sure that all updates have been installed properly. It’s a problem related to Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 as these version use a new process named “Fast Start” and sometimes Norton Internet Security updates are not installed correctly.
If the first solution doesn’t work, you will have to reinstall Norton Internet Security. You can follow these steps:
1. Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. Save the file to the Windows desktop.
3. On the Windows desktop, double-click the icon Norton Remove and Reinstall.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
5. Restart the computer.
After restarting the computer, follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the Norton product.
