Hi,

I’m on Windows 7 and I can’t install the update for Windows Defender KB915597 51.179.2798.0 (or the previous update).

I tried using the tool Fixit and with WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab (which did not indicate a problem).

I did a system restore to a previous date when there was not yet a problem.

Launch again WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab (which does not indicate a problem).

But nothing to do, the update does not want to work (error code 8007051A).

If anyone can help me it would be nice.

On Windows 7, Windows Defender is not an antivirus. Only an anti-malware, so incomplete protection if not used with a antivirus.

We recommend you install an antivirus compatible with Windows 7.
